Role Summary
In this role, you will support day-to-day operations in a busy theme park setting and help ensure every guest enjoys a safe, smooth, and memorable visit. The position involves opening and closing ride or attraction areas, handling operational controls, responding to emergencies, and maintaining strong safety standards. It is a hands-on role that requires energy, focus, teamwork, and a commitment to excellent service.
Guest Interaction and Safety
- Greet visitors professionally and kindly while making sure ride rules and safety requirements are followed.
- Carry out height checks and other safety validations accurately for all relevant guests.
- Provide, explain, and correctly fit safety equipment or attire when needed, ensuring guests and team members understand and comply with all instructions.
Ride Operations and Control
- Carry out safe opening and closing procedures for rides, confirming that equipment is functioning properly and standard processes are followed.
- Manage queues effectively to reduce waiting time and keep ride flow efficient.
- Use ride controls, emergency stop systems, and restraint mechanisms confidently and appropriately when situations require immediate action.
Records, Compliance, and Documentation
- Track operational details such as downtime, throughput, and colleague break times with accuracy.
- Keep daily records and operational paperwork well organized to support company compliance requirements.
- Follow all health and safety rules consistently during every operational task and guest interaction.
Emergency Response and Team Support
- Guide small teams during ride interruptions or emergency events and maintain a composed, controlled atmosphere.
- Respond to urgent situations according to established procedures and communication protocols to protect guests and colleagues.
Service Excellence and Additional Duties
- Contribute to a lively, engaging guest experience through positive and personalized interactions.
- Help maintain a safe, tidy, and welcoming environment in the attraction and ride areas.
- Take on other operational tasks as needed to improve facility performance and the overall guest journey.
Requirements
- No formal qualification is mandatory, though higher secondary education or an equivalent level is preferred.
- Strong spoken English is needed to communicate effectively with guests and coworkers.
- Excellent customer handling and interpersonal abilities are essential.
- You should be able to work well in a team while also thinking independently and solving problems on your own.
- A friendly, energetic personality and genuine enthusiasm for guest-facing work are important.
- You must be comfortable working under pressure and during long shifts, including busy and quieter periods.
- Honesty, accountability, and a strict approach to safety are expected.
- One year of practical experience in rides or attractions at another theme park is preferred.
- Arabic language ability is an added advantage for working with diverse visitors.
- Experience using machinery safely and efficiently is desirable.
- Ability to lead small teams during difficult situations is valued.
- Strong concentration for extended periods is useful for smooth ride operations.
- You should be able to juggle operational tasks and emergencies at the same time.
- Supervisory ability to monitor guest and colleague safety is beneficial.
