Role Overview

The Operations Lead will be responsible for managing the execution and quality control of waste collection activities across Abu Dhabi. The position focuses on service monitoring, regulatory compliance, and ongoing operational enhancement to ensure consistently high standards. It is well suited to an operations professional with strong experience in municipal waste procedures, delivery optimization, and fleet coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day waste collection activity to confirm that services meet contractual commitments and performance expectations.
• Carry out operational checks and site inspections to validate route completion, crew effectiveness, and overall service quality.
• Maintain adherence to Abu Dhabi municipality regulations, policies, and operational guidelines related to waste management.
• Spot service gaps, process inefficiencies, and operational failures, then implement corrective measures to improve results.
• Work in coordination with Operations, Fleet, and Customer Experience teams to address service issues and reduce repeat occurrences.
• Measure, review, and present operational KPIs such as completion rates, missed pickups, response times, and complaint closure performance.
• Contribute to improvement initiatives that strengthen productivity, safety, and service delivery quality.
• Interface with municipal authorities when needed on performance, compliance, and service delivery matters.

Qualifications and Experience

• Background in waste management, environmental services, or municipal waste collection operations is required.
• Strong familiarity with Abu Dhabi municipality waste management processes and compliance expectations is preferred.
• Prior exposure to operations monitoring, auditing, quality assurance, or service performance management is important.
• Excellent analytical ability, reporting skills, and structured problem-solving are needed.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with operational teams and hold others accountable for service delivery outcomes.
• Strong communication, stakeholder coordination, and relationship management skills are essential.
• Arabic language ability is strongly preferred.
• Experience with municipal waste contractors or facilities management companies in the UAE is valued.
