Role overview

The Singapore Institute of Technology is hiring an Operations Manager for the Office of the Assistant Provost (Applied Research) under the Research scheme of service. This is a fixed-term role based in Singapore, supporting the day-to-day running of SmartPrecinct@PDD and related SIT-company joint initiatives.

About SmartPrecinct@PDD

SmartPrecinct@PDD is a precinct-wide robotics and embodied AI programme being developed at Punggol Digital District. The initiative brings together shared digital infrastructure, safety and cybersecurity frameworks, embodied AI capabilities, industry partnerships, and real-world test environments to support the safe and scalable deployment of robots in the precinct.

What you will do

  • Support daily operations and administration for SmartPrecinct@PDD activities and associated joint programmes with industry partners.
  • Draft meeting packs, prepare minutes, and manage programme records and documents.
  • Organise and keep programme information repositories up to date.
  • Handle procurement activities for services, equipment, and other operational requirements.
  • Assist with budget monitoring and administrative follow-up for programme spending.
  • Arrange meetings, workshops, business travel, and other programme-related events.
  • Provide secretariat support for governance meetings and committee sessions.

Who should apply

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field, along with 3 to 5 years of relevant operations management experience. The role calls for experience in administrative support areas such as procurement, event coordination, and programme documentation, together with strong organisation, multitasking ability, proficiency with common office software, and clear written and verbal communication.

Additional information

The posting start date is 07/04/2026. If selected, the incumbent will be appointed as a Research Engineer or Research Fellow.
