Role overview

This is a remote Operations Manager opportunity for a candidate based in India, offered through a partner company that handles all applications and subsequent hiring steps. The role is intended for a results-focused operations leader who performs well in fast-moving, metrics-led environments.

The successful candidate will build, guide, and improve online teams with a strong emphasis on ownership, accountability, and measurable outcomes. This is a leadership position that requires comfort with difficult people decisions, including hiring, performance management, promotions, demotions, and exits.

You will rely on dashboards, data, and operational systems to raise efficiency and service quality. The role also includes coaching, training, and developing team members, along with working closely with other functions to improve processes and execution.

Key accountabilities

  • Lead the complete employee journey for online agents, from recruiting and onboarding through performance evaluation and, when needed, separation decisions.
  • Maintain daily operating rhythm, keep workflows efficient, and make sure team targets are consistently achieved.
  • Build, manage, and develop a remote or online agent team.
  • Run recurring training, coaching, and performance review sessions.
  • Address escalations and operational problems quickly and effectively.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to simplify processes and improve systems.
  • Use metrics, dashboards, and operational insights to guide decisions and drive continuous improvement.

Required experience and capabilities

This position calls for someone with strong operations leadership experience, ideally in remote or online team environments, plus an analytical approach and comfort working with performance data. The ideal candidate is decisive, accountable, and a confident communicator.

  • At least 3 years of experience in operations management or a closely related leadership role.
  • Direct experience managing online or remote, agent-based teams.
  • Practical experience in hiring, training, performance reviews, and employee exits.
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to interpret KPIs and dashboards.
  • Working knowledge of CRMs, operational software, and automation tools.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Strong ownership mindset and willingness to make hard performance-related decisions.
