Job description

About the Company

Telestream develops software and hardware for media production, monitoring, and distribution. The company serves broadcast networks, streaming platforms, sports organizations, post-production teams, government agencies, and enterprise media groups, helping them deliver video at scale while improving operational efficiency and revenue outcomes.

Role Overview

Telestream is hiring an Order Management Team Lead for its Accounting function. This position sits in the order-to-cash process and focuses on handling complex customer orders, keeping order data accurate, and supporting a distributed team across the US and UK. It is a senior individual contributor role with no direct reports, but the person in this role acts as the day-to-day lead, provides guidance to the team, and partners closely with the Corporate Controller.

This role covers a wide range of order types, including perpetual software licenses, SaaS and term subscriptions, hardware appliances, professional desktop tools, renewals, add-ons, and bundled deals. Orders may involve global shipping, multiple currencies, and both direct and channel-partner sales.

Location and Work Setup

This is a US hybrid role with an expected split of 50% remote and 50% in the Beaverton, Oregon office.

Work Authorization

Candidates must already be legally authorized to work in the United States. Employer-sponsored work authorization and visa sponsorship are not available now or in the future.

What You Will Do

  • Handle the most complex, high-value, and escalated customer orders from start to finish, including bundled products, multi-year subscriptions, global shipping scenarios, and channel deals.
  • Review, enter, validate, and release orders in Business Central while checking pricing, payment terms, configurations, discounts, approvals, and booking rules against approved quote documents.
  • Process Telestream’s full order mix, including software licenses, subscription offerings, hardware products, desktop tools, renewals, add-ons, and combined solutions.
  • Coordinate software order fulfillment with the Licensing Specialist so customers receive the correct activation, license information, and entitlement details on time.
  • Partner with supply chain and production teams to release hardware shipments, confirm inventory allocation, record serial numbers, and follow deliveries through completion.
  • Act as the primary expert for order discrepancies, exceptions, and customer-specific needs, resolving issues raised by sales, finance, or customers.
  • Support and coach two US-based Order Entry and Inventory Specialists and an accounting teammate in the UK through guidance, training, and quality support, without formal people-management authority.
  • Create, document, and improve standard operating procedures for order entry, processing, and inventory management across regions and product categories.
  • Work with sales and deal desk teams to correct incomplete order forms, confirm deal terms, and verify that pricing and configurations match approvals.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and transactions in Business Central across software, hardware, and bundled orders.
  • Track weekly order-processing metrics, turnaround times, and error trends, then share improvement opportunities with the Corporate Controller.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including bookings reconciliation, late-order cutoffs, and inventory adjustments.
  • Provide documentation, audit trails, and reporting for internal reviews, external audits, and customer compliance checks.
  • Safeguard confidential customer, pricing, and company information at all times.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a closely related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in order administration, order management, inventory management, or a similar operational role.
  • A mix of education and directly relevant experience may also be considered.
  • Prior experience operating at a senior or lead level on an order administration team, including informal training, coaching, or quality oversight.
  • Solid understanding of order-to-cash workflows, order entry processes, and inventory management fundamentals.
  • Experience working with multiple product types such as perpetual licenses, subscriptions, hardware, and bundled offerings.
  • Hands-on proficiency with ERP tools such as Business Central or equivalent systems for order processing and inventory tracking.
  • Strong precision and detail orientation, with a proven ability to spot and correct order issues.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with sales, finance, licensing, and supply chain teams.
  • Strong organization and the ability to balance competing priorities and recurring deadlines.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting a multinational company with global order-processing needs.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform in an order management workflow.
  • Background in software licensing and entitlement administration.
  • Exposure to Snowflake or a similar data platform for order and inventory reporting.
  • Experience in the technology or media sector.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage starting on day one.
  • Company-paid life insurance and disability coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match of up to 8%.
  • Quarterly HSA contributions and flexible spending accounts.
  • Flexible time off for salaried employees or PTO for hourly employees, plus paid holidays.
  • Pet insurance.
  • Legal plan, along with optional accident and critical illness coverage.
