Role overview
FedEx is looking for a package handler to join its Operations team in Alton, England. This role sits within a global express transportation business that serves more than 220 countries and territories, and it plays an important part in keeping parcels moving efficiently through the network.
Working pattern
This is a full-time position with a 40-hour workweek. Four vacancies are available, with the following shift options:
- P-3766194: 00:30–09:00 Tuesday to Friday and 00:00–08:30 on Saturday
- P-3766195: 00:30–09:00 Tuesday to Friday and 00:00–08:30 on Saturday
- P-3766196: 23:30–08:00 Tuesday to Saturday
- P-3766197: 02:30–11:00 Monday to Friday
Compensation
The pay rate is £13.29 per hour. Additional premia are paid for hours worked between 7:00 pm and 10:00 pm, as well as between 10:00 pm and 6:00 am.
What you will do
- Handle parcel sorting, scanning, loading, and unloading in a busy, time-sensitive environment
- Use the required tools, equipment, and technology when needed
- Work in line with health and safety standards
- Support supervisors and colleagues whenever assistance is needed
