Role overview

This is a remote contract opportunity focused on expert-level work with Word and PDF documents. The position is built around high-volume, detail-sensitive document handling for clients operating in demanding and regulated environments.

Compensation and commitment

Pay ranges from $20 to $55 per hour. The expected workload is flexible, at 10 to 40 hours each week.

Core responsibilities

  • Review, refine, and format documents in Word and PDF so they meet both general professional standards and client-specific requirements.
  • Handle tracked edits, comments, and file versions accurately across large and complex documents.
  • Build, modify, and complete interactive forms and templates for a variety of professional use cases.
  • Pull out and consolidate information precisely from Word and PDF files.
  • Work with different teams to provide accurate, timely, and confidential document support.
  • Set up and enforce document workflows for legal, regulatory, and compliance-heavy assignments.
  • Guide stakeholders on advanced Word and PDF features, along with best practices for using them effectively.

Requirements

  • Substantial hands-on experience using Word and PDF tools in a professional setting.
  • Strong command of formatting, tracked changes, document review, and markup processes.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills with a sharp eye for detail.
  • A master's degree, PhD, or JD in a relevant discipline such as law, healthcare, academia, public policy, or finance.
  • Experience supporting Fortune 500 clients or similarly complex, regulated organizations.
  • Comfort handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Ability to work independently, stay organized, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
