About the Role

To bolster our exceptional teams responsible for creating outstanding products and driving our growth, we are seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to join us in Cork, Ireland. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is pivotal in overseeing the complete payroll lifecycle (weekly, 4-weekly, and monthly), ensuring utmost accuracy, adherence to regulations, and timely compensation for all employees. You will collaborate closely with Finance, HR, and external payroll service providers, playing a crucial part in delivering a seamless and compliant payroll experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute weekly, 4-weekly, and monthly payroll runs with precision and punctuality.
• Prepare, verify, and submit payroll data to external payroll providers, securing timely approvals.
• Maintain meticulous payroll records and ensure the accuracy of employee payments and disbursements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, offering clear and professional assistance.
• Guarantee compliance with all statutory regulations, tax obligations, SOX controls, and audit requirements.
• Contribute to month-end closing procedures and promptly address any audit-related queries.
• Foster collaboration with Finance, HR, and third-party vendors to ensure smooth payroll operations.
• Proactively manage workload to meet stringent payroll deadlines.
• Stay current with Irish payroll legislation and evolving regulatory landscapes.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in Payroll, HR, or Accounting Technician discipline is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of payroll experience, preferably within a multi-cycle payroll environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with Time & Attendance systems.
• Prior experience working with external payroll providers is advantageous.
• Strong collaborative abilities, with a capacity to work effectively across different teams and with various stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated self-motivation, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• A high degree of professionalism, discretion, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.
