The right person will be comfortable working in a busy environment, take a first-time-right approach, and enjoy assisting employees with questions about pay, deductions, and benefits.
Key responsibilities

- Maintain compliance with Irish tax obligations, covering PAYE, PRSI, and USC, while submitting monthly RPNs and payroll filings to Revenue through ROS.
- Handle pension deductions, including PRSA and occupational schemes, as well as Bike to Work and health insurance deductions.
- Prepare monthly payroll journal entries for the finance team and complete regular reconciliations between payroll reports and the general ledger.
- Serve as the main contact for payroll-related employee questions and explain payslips and tax updates clearly and supportively.
- Oversee year-end payroll activities and ensure all statutory obligations are completed.
Requirements and qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a dedicated payroll position within an Irish organisation.
- IPASS qualification is required.
- Hands-on experience with payroll platforms such as Sage, Micropay, Quantum, or Workday.
- Strong Excel capability, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
- Solid understanding of Irish employment legislation and the PAYE Modernization framework.
- High attention to detail, excellent confidentiality standards, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
Benefits
- Competitive compensation of €45,000 per year, depending on experience.
- Comprehensive health insurance, pension matching, and a generous annual leave policy.
- Hybrid working arrangement, usually 2 to 3 days per week in the Limerick office.
- Supportive, collaborative culture with regular social activities and opportunities for professional growth.
