Job description
Overview
This role supports the Patient Connection Center at Piedmont Healthcare and acts as the first point of contact for incoming patient calls. The associate is expected to resolve questions on the initial call whenever possible and guide callers to the appropriate next step. In addition, the position handles patient pre-registration and scheduling for provider services while maintaining strong service quality.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary support contact for the Patient Connection Center.
- Handle inbound calls and aim to resolve concerns during the first interaction.
- Direct callers toward the correct follow-up action when issues cannot be fully resolved immediately.
- Pre-register patient encounters for provider services.
- Schedule patient appointments and related encounters.
- Deliver consistently professional and customer-focused service.
Qualifications
The employer is seeking candidates with a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience in a customer-facing role. Experience in a call center, patient scheduling, or a physician front-office environment is preferred.
