- Confirm that permits are approved, safety controls are in place, and permit holders are informed in a timely way.
- Build and support a production planning approach that aligns with the company’s goals and vision.
- Maintain plant isolation identification tags and the related valve identification database to protect personnel and support compliance with isolation procedures.
- Keep the HOP isolation database current and accurate whenever updates are needed.
- Work with mineral processing operators to check and audit isolations, permits of isolation, and HOPs to maintain safe operating conditions.
- Prepare HOPs and permit isolations for daily maintenance work, including breakdown response, in coordination with process control operators.
- Prepare isolation permits for major shutdowns and ensure hazardous energy isolations are identified and documented before maintenance begins.
Experience and skills required
- At least 5 years of experience in mineral processing or a related industry.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory role or senior technician position.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organisation.
- Well-developed planning, organisation, and time management skills.
- Leadership capability, including the ability to coach, train, and influence others.
- Ability to work independently without close supervision.
- Comfort working within a team and contributing to positive team relationships.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to train others and share knowledge in line with the department training matrix.
- A genuine interest in contributing to a growth-focused work environment.
