Position overview

WestfalenBahn GmbH is looking to strengthen its team as soon as possible with a permanent full-time Personaldisponent (m/f/d) at its Bielefeld location.

Candidate profile

  • You have completed a commercial or technical vocational qualification.
  • You bring several years of experience in rostering, scheduling, or a similar field, ideally within regional rail passenger transport (SPNV).
  • You are assertive, solution-focused, and handle employees with empathy.
  • You communicate very well in German, both spoken and written.
  • You work independently, in a structured way, and with a team-oriented mindset.
  • Experience with scheduling systems such as IVU is an advantage.
  • You stay resilient under pressure and remain flexible.
  • You are confident using MS Office, especially Word and Excel.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor regular and special duty rosters for train crew while complying with legal, collective agreement, and internal company rules.
  • Plan cover arrangements for holidays, sickness, and other absences.
  • Organize the annual vacation schedule for driving staff and the control center.
  • Ensure staff qualifications, fitness certifications, and training measures are maintained.
  • Prepare evaluations and statistics, for example on leave, overtime, and sickness levels.
  • Source replacement personnel at short notice when staffing gaps occur.
  • Take part in the on-call rota for emergency management.
