Pet Sitter & Dog Walker

Role overview

Passionately Pets is looking for part-time pet sitters and dog walkers in Alexandria and South Arlington, including 22301, 22314, 22304, and 22206. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, spending time with animals, and providing dependable care while pet owners are away.

What the job involves

You will serve as a reliable caregiver for pets, making sure their daily needs are handled with care and consistency. The position includes both pet sitting and dog walking, along with keeping the home and pet areas in good condition during visits.

Responsibilities

• Complete pet-sitting visits lasting 15 to 60 minutes
• Take dogs out for walks and give them companionship
• Provide food and keep water bowls filled
• Clean litter boxes and other pet spaces as needed
• Watch for any concerns inside the home
• Tidy up after accidents or minor damage
• Stay in touch with management about visit updates and issues

Schedule

Work may be scheduled on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must live within 5 miles of 22301
• Needs dependable transportation and a smartphone
• Should have strong attention to detail
• Must be dependable and self-driven
• Comfortable working around all types of animals
• Must be willing to work outdoors in different weather conditions
• Minimum commitment of 6 months is required
• Background screening is mandatory

Compensation

Pay is $24 to $28 per hour, plus tips.
