Job description
Overview
This is a full-time opening for a chartered physiotherapist with a musculoskeletal focus in a private practice based at Penrose Wharf in Cork City. Part-time arrangements may also be explored for a suitable candidate.
The clinic is centrally placed with easy access to the city centre, public transport connections, and nearby amenities, making it a convenient place to work and live.
Function Physiotherapy is known for patient-centred care and works closely with GPs, consultants, sports clubs, and community groups, which helps maintain a varied and steady caseload.
This opportunity is well suited to a physiotherapist who enjoys MSK work, works well independently, and appreciates a supportive team setting. Candidates with private practice experience are preferred, but a strong new graduate with clear potential may also be considered.
Caseload
- Assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries
- Management of sports-related injuries
- Orthopaedic rehabilitation support

Requirements
Applicants must be eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland. Visa sponsorship is not available, so candidates who do not meet this condition will not be considered.
- Current CORU registration as a physiotherapist
- Membership of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP)
- Strong communication and interpersonal ability
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care
- Private practice experience is an advantage
- Experience working with sports teams or athletic groups is also desirable
