Job description

Role Overview

The Lloydminster canola crush facility is looking for a Plant Utility team member to support day-to-day plant operations. This is a full-time hourly operations role based in Lloydminster, Alberta.

In this position, you will carry out housekeeping, sanitation, and cleaning tasks across the site. Once trained, you will also help inspect and clean production equipment such as hammer mills, flaking mills, baghouses, pumps, expellers, and decanters.

The work includes both indoor and outdoor duties in all weather conditions and plays an important part in maintaining safety, quality, and operational performance.

Key Duties

  • Carry out housekeeping and sanitation work across production areas.
  • Inspect and clean process equipment after completing training.
  • Assist with the operation of plant equipment when needed.
  • Maintain indoor and outdoor areas through sweeping, shoveling, and general upkeep.
  • Support canola seed truck sampling and grading, and record information accurately.
  • Use mobile and mechanical equipment after proper training.
  • Follow ADM safety, food safety, and environmental requirements at all times.
  • Handle additional tasks as assigned to keep daily operations running smoothly.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • A 4th Class ABSA Steam Ticket is an advantage.
  • Prior experience in an industrial or plant setting is helpful.

Work Schedule

  • 12-hour rotating shifts with the following pattern: 4 days on / 5 days off, 5 days on / 4 days off, and 5 days on / 5 days off.
  • Day and night shifts rotate.
  • Overtime may be available from time to time.
  • Future assignments may require different working hours to support around-the-clock operations.

Additional Requirements

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment medical exam and reference check is required.
  • Candidates must be legally permitted to work in Canada.
  • Reliable and regular attendance is essential.
  • Relocation support is not provided.

Compensation and Benefits

The role pays $32.77 per hour.
