About the Role
We are hiring a Playwright QA professional who can start right away at our Bengaluru office. This position follows a hybrid work setup and includes one face-to-face interview round. The role is suited to an experienced QA engineer who can combine manual and automated testing to support application quality, production checks, and modernization efforts.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for building and maintaining automation coverage using Playwright in a Microsoft technology environment, while also contributing to functional, regression, integration, and production validation activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, enhance, and maintain automated test scripts with Playwright.
- Carry out functional, regression, and integration testing for web-based applications.
- Assist with production verification, defect investigation, and issue logging.
- Work in close coordination with developers, business analysts, and DevOps personnel.
- Take part in requirement reviews, test strategy discussions, and test case preparation.
- Help ensure adequate test coverage, quality compliance, and on-time delivery.
- Use AI-enabled productivity tools such as GitHub Copilot and Microsoft tools to improve testing efficiency.
Experience and Skills
The position requires strong experience in software testing with a clear emphasis on automation. Practical knowledge of Playwright is preferred, though experience with comparable tools such as Selenium or Cypress is also relevant. The role also calls for API testing experience using Postman and REST APIs, along with familiarity with .NET applications from a QA standpoint. Exposure to Python-based systems will be considered an added advantage.
