Role overview
This Melbourne-based full-time role sits within a fast-moving poker team that is expanding into new markets. The position suits someone who understands poker, works comfortably with data, and likes taking ownership of practical decisions that influence the product’s success.
You will help shape the poker offering by managing core operational elements, improving player-facing communications, and supporting the ongoing evolution of the product as it scales.
What you will do
- Define and regularly adjust cash game stakes and rake settings to support a balanced and sustainable poker ecosystem.
- Create and update tournament formats and schedules so prize guarantees are attractive while overlay risk stays low.
- Become proficient with the operational systems that run the poker product, along with tools such as Excel or Google Sheets, Slack, and Jira.
- Examine unusual results and work alongside the Security team to help identify cheating and fraudulent activity.
- Prepare player messages for both the poker lobby and tables.
- Contribute ideas for new features, as well as improvements to policies and security measures.
What we are looking for
- Strong interest in online poker, live poker, or both.
- Working knowledge of online poker tournament and cash game mechanics.
- Good command of MS Office or Google Workspace, particularly spreadsheets.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Bonus consideration for candidates who understand poker ecology and data analysis.
- Additional advantage if you know the online sportsbook, casino, or bingo space.
- Cryptocurrency familiarity is helpful.
- Experience with Slack and Jira is a plus.
- Comfort working across different global time zones when required.
- Second-language fluency is an added advantage.
