This remote contract position is for a Policy Consultant who will contribute expertise to the development and refinement of AI training data. The work centers on producing high-quality, real-world inputs that help shape how models learn, reason, and perform.
Core responsibilities
- Examine, prepare, and assess policy materials, legal agreements, proposals, and research documents using advanced Microsoft Word and PDF capabilities.
- Offer strategic guidance and practical recommendations on issues related to regulation, law, healthcare, academia, or finance.
- Carry out detailed document checks to ensure accuracy, compliance, clarity, and alignment with best-practice standards.
- Assist clients with formatting documents, applying tracked edits, completing forms, and extracting data precisely.
- Work with cross-functional partners to turn complex information into concise policies and procedures that can be acted upon.
- Keep up to date with changing rules, standards, and guidance relevant to the subject area.
- Present insights and recommendations in polished written and spoken communication.
Experience and qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in government policy operations is required.
- Strong working knowledge of Word and PDF tools, including tracked changes, document formatting, review workflows, and data extraction.
- Excellent communication abilities, with a focus on professional and clear written and verbal interaction.
- Proven capability in drafting, interpreting, and reviewing complex policy or regulatory content.
- Ability to juggle multiple assignments and consistently meet strict deadlines in a remote, fast-moving setting.
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering accurate, quality work.
Preferred background
- Prior exposure to Fortune 500 clients or work on high-visibility regulatory, legal, or policy initiatives is an advantage.
- Experience collaborating with diverse, multidisciplinary teams to deliver meaningful outcomes is preferred.
