Role Overview
This remote contract opportunity is for a Policy Consultant who will support the development and refinement of high-quality policy and documentation work. The position focuses on applying subject-matter expertise to produce accurate, practical outputs that can also help train next-generation AI systems. Your contributions will influence how models interpret, reason through, and respond to real-world information.
Core Responsibilities
- Review, draft, and refine policy materials, legal agreements, proposals, and research documents using advanced Microsoft Word and PDF capabilities.
- Offer strategic guidance and practical recommendations on issues tied to regulation, law, healthcare, education, or finance.
- Examine documents closely to confirm compliance, improve clarity, and align outputs with established best practices.
- Assist with precise formatting, tracked edits, form completion, and data extraction from documents.
- Work with cross-functional teams to turn complex information into concise policies and procedures that can be acted upon.
- Keep current with changing rules, standards, and guidance relevant to your area of expertise.
- Present conclusions and recommendations clearly in both written and spoken communication.
Experience and Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in government policy operations is required.
- Strong command of Word and PDF workflows, including tracked changes, formatting, document review, and data extraction.
- Excellent communication abilities with a strong focus on clear, professional written and verbal interaction.
- Hands-on experience preparing, reviewing, and analyzing complex policy or regulatory documents.
- Ability to handle several priorities at once and deliver on strict deadlines in a remote, fast-moving environment.
- High attention to detail and a consistent focus on producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Preferred background includes work with Fortune 500 clients or on prominent regulatory, legal, or policy assignments.
- Experience collaborating with teams from different disciplines to drive meaningful results is an advantage.
