Job description

Role overview

This opportunity is for a Privacy Associate Analyst in the United States, supporting a healthcare-focused privacy team in a data-intensive setting. The position involves protecting sensitive health information, helping with privacy investigations, supporting compliance work, and reviewing operational risks.

The role provides exposure to HIPAA-based processes, healthcare operations, and privacy governance practices. You will partner with teams across the organization to review incidents, record findings, and help improve privacy safeguards across systems and workflows.

Another important part of the job is contributing to the ongoing evolution of privacy operations, including the use of digital tools, automation, and newer technologies. You will also help turn regulatory requirements into practical and scalable business processes.

This is a collaborative, analytical role suited to someone who enjoys solving problems in a regulated and fast-changing healthcare environment.

Accountabilities

  • Help investigate privacy incidents and breaches involving protected health information by gathering facts, documenting details, and coordinating with internal stakeholders.
  • Support senior privacy team members in evaluating scope, identifying root causes, and tracking follow-up actions.
  • Keep incident records, logs, case files, and compliance trackers accurate and aligned with retention rules.
  • Review workflows, data movement, and technology use cases to spot privacy or compliance gaps.
  • Assist with privacy operations work such as issue tracking, reporting, and case administration.
  • Contribute to privacy risk assessments, audits, monitoring activities, and preparation of regulatory responses.
  • Help update and improve privacy policies, training content, operational templates, and supporting documentation.
  • Monitor regulatory and industry changes and summarize what they mean for internal privacy practices.
  • Identify repeat privacy issues or emerging trends and escalate them to more senior team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in privacy, compliance, healthcare operations, information governance, risk management, cybersecurity, or a similar analytical function.
  • Working understanding of privacy principles, data protection standards, and regulatory expectations; HIPAA knowledge is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to document findings clearly and explain complex topics to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience creating structured materials such as reports, case notes, or policy-related documents.
  • Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and good judgment when handling sensitive information.
  • Comfort using digital tools, case management platforms, spreadsheets, and reporting dashboards.
  • Interest in emerging technologies such as AI, automation, and data-driven privacy solutions.
  • Willingness to work toward or earn privacy certifications such as CIPP/US, CIPM, CHPC, or similar.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving regulated environment with changing priorities.

Benefits

  • Competitive pay aligned to experience and market rates, with an approximate range of $52,100 to $89,850.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • Paid time off, holidays, and flexible remote work arrangements.
  • Career development support, including paid certifications and tuition reimbursement.
  • Performance-based incentives and recognition programs.
  • Exposure to enterprise healthcare privacy operations and compliance programs.
  • Learning opportunities in data governance, privacy, and emerging technology applications.
  • A supportive, growth-focused environment centered on continuous improvement and innovation.
