Job description
About the role
Cendry Capital is seeking an Analyst to join its founder-led private investment team focused on acquiring, stabilizing, and improving critical aerospace and defense businesses. The firm works with companies that are highly specialized, operationally complex, and essential to modern defense platforms, where deep industry experience matters more than a generalist approach.
This position is hands-on and highly collaborative. Rather than working in isolation, you will partner closely with investment and operating leaders throughout the entire transaction process, including sourcing, diligence, deal structuring, and post-close value creation across platforms such as VAERO and VECCO.
Key responsibilities
You will contribute across the full lifecycle of investments, from identifying opportunities to supporting portfolio improvement efforts.
- Create and update financial models, valuation work, and diligence presentations.
- Investigate potential acquisition targets across aerospace and defense, precision manufacturing, and industrial supply chains.
- Assist with active transactions, including corporate carve-outs, founder succession situations, and OEM supplier opportunities.
- Monitor portfolio company performance and work with operators on initiatives that improve value.
What the firm is looking for
The ideal candidate brings 1 to 3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, or aerospace and defense corporate finance.
- Strong technical skills in financial modeling and analytical evaluation.
- Genuine interest in manufacturing, engineering, and the mechanics of how products are made.
- A strong sense of accountability and a willingness to take ownership in a lean team environment.
Compensation and benefits
- Annual base pay of $75,000, with additional performance-based bonus potential.
- Opportunity to participate in carry and co-investment as you advance with the firm.
- Health coverage including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- 401(k) retirement plan.
- Paid time off.
- Direct access to partners and a faster path toward an Associate-level role.
Location
This role is based in Newtown Square / Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Additional information
The position is a full-time, on-site role. Candidates should be prepared to engage directly with leadership and operate in a high-responsibility environment from an early stage.
