Private Equity Analyst

Role overview

This position supports investment research and decision-making work in a fast-moving high-growth setting. The work centers on venture capital and related investment analysis, with an emphasis on sourcing, diligence, market intelligence, and communication with investors and internal stakeholders.

The role is remote and pays $100 per hour. A minimum commitment of 10 hours per week is required.

Key responsibilities

• Build well-structured investment deliverables that reflect real sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio review processes.
• Prepare investment memos, market sizing studies, and strategic materials intended for senior leadership or board-level review.
• Assess market opportunities, competitor positioning, and growth outlooks across emerging sectors.
• Convert investment workflows into clear analytical frameworks and organized documentation.
• Review outputs for commercial soundness, consistency in analysis, and strategic precision.
• Help establish benchmarking standards for investment evaluation and venture research work.

Core requirements

• Solid experience in venture capital, growth investing, or startup-focused investment analysis.
• Hands-on experience creating investment summaries, market analysis reports, or board-ready materials.
• Ability to turn complex investment processes into concise, high-quality deliverables.
• Strong analytical judgment in market evaluation, commercial assessment, and investment decisions.
• Excellent written communication with strong attention to strategic clarity and financial accuracy.
• Comfortable working independently in a project-based analytical environment.

Additional strengths

• Experience with early-stage sourcing, founder evaluation, or portfolio analysis.
• Familiarity with TAM analysis, competitive landscape reviews, or investment screening methods.
• Ability to evaluate business opportunities from both strategic and financial viewpoints.
