Job description
Role Overview
The Procurement Specialist will handle sourcing and purchasing across assigned product groups. This role supports the procurement team by building supplier partnerships, negotiating pricing, keeping an eye on market movements, and making sure goods and services are bought in a timely, cost-conscious, and policy-compliant manner.
Core Duties
- Raise, manage, and monitor purchase orders while ensuring records are accurate and updated in the ERP system.
- Assess, coordinate with, and oversee suppliers to secure competitive rates, reliable quality, and strong service levels.
- Contribute to cost-reduction efforts, track landed cost, and spot opportunities to improve spend efficiency and internal processes.
- Confirm that suppliers comply with relevant regulatory, quality, and company requirements, including SFDA, HALAL, HACCP, and ISO standards.
- Organize and track inbound shipments by air, sea, and land, ensure customs paperwork is in order, and follow through until goods arrive on schedule.
- Partner with Finance, Operations, and Sales to keep procurement and supply chain activities aligned with business priorities.
Required Background and Skills
Candidates should bring at least 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain work, including a minimum of 2 years in foodservice. Strong capability in sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management is essential. A good grasp of the full supply chain cycle, especially within food or FMCG logistics, is preferred. The role also calls for the ability to juggle multiple tasks and manage procurement and logistics under tight deadlines. Strong English communication skills are mandatory.
