Job description

Role Overview

Join a global procurement and payments function where you’ll support tactical buying activities for business teams across the Asia region. The position focuses on managing the procurement cycle end to end, building productive supplier relationships, and enabling smooth purchasing operations while staying aligned with company policies and compliance standards.

About the Work Environment

You’ll be part of a collaborative team where diverse backgrounds and perspectives are valued. The role offers the chance to learn from experienced colleagues, grow through supportive leadership, and contribute to work that helps improve outcomes for clients, families, and communities around the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run the full requisition-to-purchase-order process for multiple spend categories supporting stakeholders across Asia.
  • Own RFQ activities, including preparing requests, shortlisting vendors, and compiling bid comparisons.
  • Review quotations from a total cost of ownership perspective and verify pricing to secure the strongest commercial value.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, delivery timelines, and pricing conditions in line with business objectives.
  • Manage the vendor base by coordinating onboarding, tracking supplier performance, and serving as the main contact for issue resolution in the region.
  • Support purchase requisition processing with accuracy and help Accounts Payable and business teams resolve invoice and payment mismatches.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand demand, expectations, and sourcing priorities.
  • Ensure purchases and spending follow internal procurement rules and audit requirements.
  • Track procurement budgets, analyze spending to identify savings, and suggest process improvements that increase team efficiency.

Requirements and Competencies

  • At least 3 years of hands-on tactical procurement experience, preferably with regional or international stakeholders in Asia.
  • Practical experience with RFQ preparation, analysis, and bid summarization.
  • Good understanding of the PR-to-PO process and receiving workflows.
  • Experience using procurement systems, ideally SAP Ariba.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel for analysis and PowerPoint for reporting.
  • Ability to interpret complex quotations and spot embedded or hidden costs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for working with regional teams and global suppliers.
  • Capacity to work independently, apply sound judgment, and manage priorities in a fast-moving setting.
  • Familiarity with contract terms and conditions is an advantage.
  • Comfort using AI tools for market analysis, procurement insights, and related data work.
  • Exposure to working across different time zones and cultures within Asia is beneficial.
