Job description
About the company
Almosafer Travel & Tourism Co is a major travel brand in Saudi Arabia that works to influence the future of travel rather than simply participate in it. Serving millions of customers across the travel and tourism ecosystem, the company aims to create smooth, personal, and meaningful journeys. Its platforms and services are designed to reflect the energy of Saudi Arabia and the wider region.
The organization’s long-term ambition is to become the clear leader in travel services, build durable relationships, and establish a new standard of excellence in the Kingdom and beyond. Teams across Saudi Arabia and the region combine local insight with innovation to shape a modern travel experience.
About the role
Almosafer is hiring a Product Designer for its Digital Consumer Travel experience team. The role focuses on improving how customers search, book, and manage travel products such as flights, hotels, activities, and related services. You will collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and other designers to turn customer problems and business opportunities into practical, high-value experiences across web and mobile platforms.
This position calls for strong product thinking, a deep understanding of customer behavior, awareness of market trends, and the ability to design with systems and constraints in mind.
What you will do
- Identify customer needs, behaviors, and pain points, then turn those insights into clear opportunity areas and problem statements for the team.
- Plan and participate in discovery work such as user interviews, surveys, and usability testing to validate assumptions and uncover what customers truly need.
- Partner with engineers, product managers, and designers in a fast-moving environment to solve customer problems and deliver meaningful improvements across digital platforms.
- Balance business priorities, technical limitations, data, and platform requirements while shaping solutions that create value for both customers and the company.
- Transform ideas into intuitive, polished experiences that are both usable and commercially effective.
- Develop concepts and prototypes quickly, knowing when to continue exploring, test ideas further, or change direction.
- Use experimentation regularly to test assumptions and improve solutions over time.
What we are looking for
- 3 to 5 years of product design experience in a consumer-focused environment, with a track record of shipping mobile and web products.
- Strong understanding of product strategy and business needs, paired with a clear focus on solving real customer problems.
- A problem-solving mindset with the ability to deeply analyze customers, business goals, and the challenges being addressed.
- Confidence in planning and running research activities such as interviews, surveys, and usability tests, and applying those findings to the design process.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present your work and explain complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent visual design ability and proficiency with design, prototyping, and whiteboarding tools such as Figma, Framer, and Miro, along with experience contributing to a design system.
- A collaborative working style, openness to feedback, and willingness to share work throughout the process rather than presenting only final outcomes.
- Comfort working closely with other designers and cross-functional teammates in a transparent and collaborative environment.
- An online portfolio or PDF with up to 3 selected projects that show your design process and the impact of your work; applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
- Experience across the full product design cycle, from research and wireframes to prototypes, final design, implementation, and optimization.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Framer, and Proto.io.
- Strong visual design grounding with familiarity with Google Material Guidelines, Apple Human Interface Guidelines, and design systems.
- Practical experience in research methods, including user interviews, surveys, usability studies, and interpretation of findings.
- Basic ability to use data and analytics to guide design decisions.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills in Arabic and English.
Working environment
Almosafer describes its culture as purpose-led, clear, and grounded in doing the right thing. The company values accountability, trust, collaboration, curiosity, and shared momentum, while providing structure and space for people to contribute meaningfully from day one.
What you can expect
- A workplace where purpose and impact are central to daily work.
- Continuous learning and development opportunities to support your growth.
- Recognition for achievements, both large and small.
- A community built on trust, curiosity, and collaboration.
- Room to grow, connect, and contribute regardless of where your journey began.
