Job description
About the Role
Arrivia creates the travel booking experiences that power large loyalty and membership programs, including private marketplaces where members can reserve cruises, resorts, and hotels at exclusive rates. The team works on consumer-facing web products used by multiple brands, with a focus on making search, comparison, and decision-making feel smooth and trustworthy.
What You’ll Do
This position is intended for an early-career designer who already demonstrates strong craft and curiosity about how products perform in the hands of real users. You will collaborate with product managers and engineers on consumer journeys such as search, discovery, comparison, and decision-making. The work involves careful attention to typography, spacing, and interaction details so the end result feels polished and consumer-ready. You’ll also learn and apply the design system while shipping work in fast cycles with engineering partners.
AI-Assisted Workflow
AI tools are part of the team’s day-to-day process. Designers use tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini to speed up research synthesis, explore ideas, and draft content, while still maintaining a strong standard for quality and craft.
How the Hiring Process Works
Instead of a traditional resume-first application flow, candidates complete a design challenge developed with Arrivia and submit a brief video walkthrough explaining their thinking. Every submission is reviewed by a person, and hiring managers connect with candidates after seeing how they approach the work.
What the Team Values
The team looks for builders who can move from an idea to a shipped product, work comfortably with ambiguity, and contribute across design, product, and engineering when needed. Success is measured by what reaches production, not by the tools used along the way.
Benefits
The role comes with a remote-friendly setup spanning US and international time zones, access to Arrivia’s private travel marketplace with heavily discounted cruises, resorts, and hotels, plus medical, dental, and vision insurance and a 401(k) plan with company match.
Additional Information
- Applicants should have 2 to 4 years of product design experience for consumer web or mobile products.
- Proficiency in Figma should be growing and practical.
- The portfolio should demonstrate problem framing and iterative thinking, not only polished final screens.
- The role is remote within the United States.
