Job description
Role Overview
KamelPay is expanding its product set and entering new markets, and this position is designed to support that growth. The role requires strong Arabic fluency because a significant part of the work involves Arabic-language markets, customer conversations, and government-related interactions.
You will operate across KamelPay’s product portfolio and partner closely with commercial, sales, operations, support, compliance, marketing, product, and engineering teams. A key part of the role is representing the product function in Arabic-language discovery calls and meetings with government stakeholders. The role reports to the Chief Technology and Product Officer.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for shaping product direction, converting feedback into actionable briefs, and helping teams move ideas from discovery to delivery. You will also support cross-functional communication in Arabic and ensure that product insights from the market are captured clearly for internal teams.
Product Management
- Take ownership of product needs and prioritisation, with special focus on Arabic-language market requirements.
- Collaborate with the BA team and engineers to define scope and deliver improvements across payroll, prepaid card, and payments products.
- Run independent product discovery through customer interviews, competitor analysis, and market mapping.
- Turn input from frontline teams and clients into structured product briefs and backlog entries.
- Spot recurring themes across products and present them as roadmap opportunities for engineering.
Arabic-Language and Commercial Support
- Join Arabic-language sales discovery calls and meetings with government stakeholders, speaking on behalf of the product team when needed.
- Explain product features, use cases, and integration options clearly in Arabic to government and enterprise audiences.
- Convert Arabic-language requirements into clear internal documentation for delivery teams.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with UAE teams by attending sales pipeline reviews, VAS briefings, operations standups, customer support escalation meetings, and partner syncs.
- Record and organise product feedback, feature requests, and operational issues raised by frontline teams.
- Provide recurring written updates to the CTPO highlighting key trends, urgent matters, and emerging customer needs.
- Attend partner and government meetings, capture structured notes, and ensure action items are followed through to closure.
Required Profile
- Arabic fluency at native or fully fluent level, in both speaking and writing, is mandatory.
- English proficiency is also required.
- Bring 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in product management, fintech, banking, payments, or B2B SaaS.
- Be a strong written communicator who can turn a lengthy meeting into a clear, concise summary.
- Have solid product and technical understanding, including the ability to follow transaction flows, review API documentation, and explain technical ideas to non-technical teammates.
- Be comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment and handling several workstreams at once.
Preferred Background
- Knowledge of the UAE financial services landscape, including banks, processors, regulators, and government bodies.
- Experience working with or selling to government or semi-government organisations in the UAE.
- Exposure to payroll, prepaid cards, expense management, or remittance products.
- Prior experience in a regulated sector such as fintech, banking, payments, or insurance.
Role Boundaries
This position is intentionally focused on product leadership and is not intended to cover sales ownership, product operations coordination, customer success responsibilities, or direct end-user support handling.
- You will not be responsible for owning the sales pipeline or closing deals.
- You will not serve as a product operations coordinator whose role is limited to relaying information.
- You will not act as a Customer Success Manager for banks or processors.
- You will not work as a direct customer support agent for worker or cardholder complaints.
Additional Information
The successful candidate will be the Arabic-speaking product lead who helps connect market needs with product execution across KamelPay’s teams.
