Job description

About the Company

rePurpose Global is a venture-backed technology company focused on advancing sustainable innovation within the packaging sector. The company’s B2B software platform supports consumer brands as they work through complex packaging rules, make better sustainability decisions, use packaging data to grow the business, and stay aligned with changing global compliance standards. The team is actively expanding the product with new capabilities designed to give customers practical insights and smoother workflows.

Role Overview

The company is hiring a Product Manager to help drive the product roadmap for its core application, which supports consumer brands with regulatory reporting for sustainable packaging. This is an individual contributor role that requires close partnership with engineers, subject matter experts, and commercial teams to define the product direction and deliver meaningful features.

The position involves bringing new products to life from the ground up, so a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and comfort working in a startup environment are important.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full product journey from concept to release, ensuring features are delivered effectively through well-defined requirements, clear communication, and thoughtful problem-solving alongside engineering and design.
  • Carry out user interviews, market scans, and competitor comparisons to uncover customer pain points and growth opportunities in packaging sustainability and compliance.
  • Set priorities and keep a detailed roadmap that reflects customer needs and business goals.
  • Work with technical specialists, compliance experts, and internal stakeholders to build solutions for complex regulatory and standards requirements.
  • Build strong working relationships across teams to keep everyone aligned with product objectives.
  • Define success metrics, track feature performance, and refine the product based on user feedback and results.
  • Keep up to date with packaging regulations and sustainability developments so the product stays aligned with current industry expectations.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in product management within B2B SaaS startup or B2B enterprise software environments, particularly where data plays an important role. Success in fast-paced, high-growth settings is essential, along with the ability to work through uncertainty, prioritize aggressively, and deliver on tight deadlines.

Experience building and launching new features from scratch is important, as is familiarity with discovery methods such as customer interviews, prototyping, and experimentation. The role also requires the ability to turn technical complexity into clear product requirements, collaborate effectively with technical teams and subject matter experts, think analytically, and communicate persuasively across all levels.

Experience with compliance or reporting products is a plus, and prior work related to packaging or consumer goods would be especially valuable.

Why This Role

  • Meaningful impact: Help organizations lower their environmental footprint and contribute to solving the packaging waste challenge.
  • Strong collaboration: Work with a team of passionate specialists focused on sustainable change.
  • Room to grow: As the platform expands, you will help shape both product direction and strategy.

Work Location

This is an onsite position, and candidates should be based in New York City. The team expects weekly in-office presence at the office located at 1460 Broadway.

The company operates with a global team spread across Miami, New York, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, London, Nairobi, Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, and Jakarta.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is competitive and will be tailored to the selected candidate based on qualifications. The advertised annual compensation range is USD 135,000 to USD 160,000. Applicants are encouraged to apply even if the range is above their target, as the employer prioritizes the right fit.

Benefits include medical coverage, a wellness fund, learning opportunities, and WeWork partnerships.

The company notes that compensation is flexible and determined by a range of factors, including education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and market conditions.
