Role Overview

The Hyderabad factory is seeking a seasoned Production Manager to take charge of day-to-day output, production sequencing, and shop-floor control in its steel rack manufacturing operations.

Experience and Compensation

This position is suited to professionals with 8 to 14 years of experience. The offered compensation is in the range of 10 to 16 LPA.

Primary Responsibilities

• Translate the weekly manufacturing plan into shift-wise daily schedules and assign operators to CNC and welding stations.
• Spend substantial time on the shop floor, tracking machine performance, weld quality, and material movement, and stepping in when variances appear.
• Verify CNC programs and bending settings, and clear the first piece inspection before full batch production begins.
• Keep a daily record of target versus actual output, then document gaps along with the cause and the recovery approach.
• Manage the rejection and rework tracker by identifying root causes and ensuring corrective measures are put in place.
• Work with maintenance teams on preventive upkeep, operator capability building, and improving machine availability and OEE.
• Release materials from stores based on the BOM and raise early alerts for any inventory shortages.
• Drive adherence to 5S, PPE usage, and safety briefings, while ensuring proper handover records to the assembly team.

Candidate Profile

• 8 to 14 years of experience in steel fabrication or sheet metal manufacturing, including at least 3 years in a Production Manager or Senior Supervisor role.
• Practical exposure to CNC laser cutting, CNC bending, and MIG/MAG welding.
• Strong command over production planning, rejection reduction, overall equipment effectiveness, and material efficiency.
• B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and maintain disciplined shop-floor operations.
