About the Company
Epygen is a long-running biotechnology organization established in the UAE in 2005, with additional branches in the USA and India. The company is looking for a Filipino Production Officer - Documentation to join its Production Department.
Role Overview
This position focuses on production documentation, inventory coordination, compliance records, dispatch-related paperwork, and cross-functional support across production, QA/QC, R&D, sales, and related teams. The role also involves supervising subordinates, maintaining GDP-aligned records, and supporting audits, inspections, and production workflow coordination.
Responsibilities
- Maintain production and warehouse documentation in line with GDP, including daily logs, production records, raw material receipt records, sample submission sheets, recipe documents, handover records, and dispatch/receipt updates for samples and shipments.
- Track and update auxiliary logs such as laundry, boiler, and temperature records.
- Allocate work to team members and follow up to ensure tasks are completed correctly, while enforcing strict HSE compliance.
- Support audit preparation and ensure audit findings and compliance requirements are addressed.
- Receive PRQ, coordinate production activities, and verify the BMR before production begins.
- Arrange raw materials for production and manage all related warehouse activities such as loading and unloading.
- Carry out physical stock counts for raw materials, packing materials, and consumables at the assigned intervals.
- Guide production operators during manufacturing and instruct packing teams on palletizing finished products according to shipping requirements and container dimensions.
- Print labels for sample finished goods, bottles, JCs, drums, and IBCs.
- Act as a coordination point between QA/QC, R&D, Sales, and other relevant departments.
- Submit samples to QC with the ARF form and maintain backup and retention samples in the designated area.
- Manage warehouse raw materials for all related operations.
- Hand over documents to the receptionist, Purchase team, and Accounts department as needed.
- Update the raw material board, submit expiry-related materials to QC for shelf-life review, and relabel raw materials with revised expiry information.
- Inspect incoming raw materials for weight, damage, lot, manufacturing and expiry dates, and shortages, then update the RM logbook and related records.
- Check shipment dispatch details such as labels, damage, product name, and lot information; capture vehicle and container photos before loading; share loading evidence in the dispatch group; complete FGIRC forms; obtain driver signatures; and update order completion status.
- Update sterilizing files, pH records, and preventive maintenance logs.
- Maintain RM and enzyme COAs and SDS documents.
- Keep all machinery, temperature trends, service reports, scale calibration documents, forklift records, boiler logs, work instructions, and training records updated according to GDP requirements.
- Handle purchasing of consumables for the production department and manage scrap-related activities.
Requirements
- Science graduate background is required.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical operations.
- Experience supporting documentation, production coordination, and compliance-based processes.
- Strong attention to detail for record keeping, inspections, and document control.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and support production teams effectively.
- Understanding of GMP/GDP-style documentation and HSE practices is important.
