Production Operator

Job Description

The Production Operator will be responsible for cutting large stone slabs to specified dimensions using bridge-cutting machines. This role also involves operating profiling and polishing machinery, precisely cutting and polishing sink holes according to templates, and grinding and polishing edges with portable power tools. Additionally, the operator will be tasked with color matching various resin glues to seamlessly blend with stone materials, applying sealants to natural stones like granite post-fabrication, and conducting self-inspections to ensure work quality upon completion. Maintaining a clean work environment by cleaning equipment and the workstation is also a key duty. The role requires close collaboration with colleagues, team leaders, and the Production Supervisor to meet all job requirements, production targets, and quality benchmarks.

Job Requirements

Candidates must be physically fit and capable of handling heavy items. A foundational understanding of basic mathematical calculations is necessary. The ability to adapt to and work within fluctuating production schedules is essential. This position demands a strong team-player attitude and a willingness to acquire new skills. Proficiency in using portable power tools and hand tools for cutting, grinding, shaping, and polishing stone products is expected. While experience with the safe operation of fabrication tools is preferred, it is not strictly required. The ability to interpret and work from manual drawings and CAD diagrams is also important. Prior experience with CNC machines and a basic understanding of stone surfaces are considered advantageous. Familiarity with fabrication products and solvents, including various adhesives, acetone, and denatured alcohol, will also be beneficial.
