Overview
Chi-Chack LLC is hiring a full-time Program Lead for the Capstone Exercise program in support of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) Joint Military Attache School (JMAS). This position is based at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Virginia, and may require travel. The role is contingent upon contract award.
Chi-Chack, established in 2007 and headquartered in Tacoma, WA, supports government customers with training, education, program management, and operational services that help advance mission outcomes. The company is a Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB).
Role Summary
The Program Lead will manage high-quality training operations for the JMAS capstone exercise, oversee contractor personnel, help ensure contract compliance, and contribute to a safe and equitable work environment. This person will serve as the Project Lead, Capstone Exercise Lead, and an instructor for exercise-related lesson blocks.
Key Duties
- Direct the daily work of all assigned personnel and act as the communication bridge between the off-site program manager and the government customer.
- Handle coordination with external organizations, align meeting, training, and briefing schedules, and keep all point-of-contact details current in the shared electronic filing system.
- As part of the Education and Training Support Team, lead the development and release of the full-cycle support schedule for the Attaché Training Program capstone exercise, including advance team activities, training week for support staff, and exercise week execution.
- Work with the ATP Program Manager on staffing assignments and any proposed personnel changes.
- Make sure contractor staff understand the reporting and communication chain for work hours, leave approvals, and other personnel matters.
- Address performance problems promptly with the employee involved and escalate unresolved issues to the COR when needed.
- Support JMAS accreditation work by serving on committees or working groups, attending curriculum reviews, and contributing to efforts tied to COE, IACET, the American Council on Education, and any other accreditation bodies required by the JMAS Board of Governors.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required.
- Applicants must have completed one successful tour as an Attache, Defense Liaison Officer, Assistant Defense Attache, Operations Coordinator (OPSCO), or Operations Coordinator NCO.
- At least 10 years of experience in a Department of War environment is required.
- Two years of experience teaching in JMAS is required.
- Experience in education or training settings with a strong focus on adult learning is required.
Preferred Experience
- Background working with Foreign Affairs agencies such as the Department of State, USAID, or intelligence organizations.
- Understanding of embassy operations overseas, multinational work environments, and cross-cultural work gained through living or working outside the United States.
