Job description
Role overview
Terrane Land Surveying is hiring a careful, proactive Project Coordinator in Bellevue, WA to help manage a broad mix of land surveying work. The role supports boundary, topographic, construction, and land use assignments, with a stronger emphasis on land use projects, jurisdiction codes, and reading plans and maps. You will partner with sales, project managers, technical staff, and field crews to keep work accurate, timely, and aligned with local requirements.
Project coordination duties
- Examine site plans and interpret project details for boundary, topographic, construction, and land use assignments, then confirm specifications with the client when needed.
- Create redline markups on site plans, land use paperwork, construction drawings, and survey data so revisions match the project requirements.
- Work with field teams to make sure on-site data collection is carried out correctly across different project types.
- Check survey outputs for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with local rules, zoning standards, and jurisdiction-specific requirements.
- Keep project schedules and delivery milestones on track so survey data, reports, and land use documents are submitted as planned.
- Coordinate with internal teams to clear up inconsistencies and revise plans or documents when updates are needed.
- Make sure all final deliverables meet industry expectations and follow municipal, zoning, and construction standards.
- Monitor milestone progress and give clients clear, timely status updates throughout each project.
Customer service duties
- Handle questions from customers by phone, email, and SMS about all surveying services, with extra focus on land use issues and jurisdiction-related concerns.
- Send in new lead requests and record project information accurately.
- Route incoming calls to the right members of the sales team.
- Explain timelines, survey needs, jurisdiction feedback, and plan revision details to clients.
- Provide frequent progress updates and support clients with corrections, revisions, and requests for clarification.
- Communicate any delays or changes that could affect delivery timelines as early as possible.
Skills and qualifications
- Very strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle several tasks in a busy environment.
- Good conflict-resolution and de-escalation ability for handling difficult customer situations professionally.
- Excellent customer service instincts and a genuine desire to build strong relationships.
- Comfort using MS Office; experience with tools such as AutoCAD or Bluebeam would be an advantage.
- Solid understanding of land surveying work, including boundary, topographic, construction, and land use requirements.
- Ability to read, review, and mark up site plans, land use documents, and maps accurately.
- Familiarity with zoning rules, municipal requirements, and land use submission workflows.
Who this role suits
This position is ideal for a motivated, organized, and client-focused coordinator who enjoys working across multiple survey project types and is especially interested in land use work. The right candidate will be collaborative, take initiative, and stay positive while managing deadlines and supporting both clients and technical teams.
