Role Overview

KCI, LLC is hiring a Project Coordinator to assist with a major data center initiative in the Atlanta area. The position is primarily remote, but occasional travel to the Atlanta, GA site may be needed.

This full-time, first-shift role begins immediately and is centered on schedule management, timeline oversight, progress monitoring, reporting, and Smartsheets administration. It suits someone who is highly organized, comfortable handling substantial project data, and experienced in supporting complex construction or technology programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Keep project schedules current in Smartsheets.
  • Build and maintain Gantt charts, trackers, and dashboard-style reports.
  • Collect, check, structure, and update project information provided by project managers, leadership, subcontractors, and field staff.
  • Track milestones, task lengths, dependency links, predecessor relationships, and overall completion status.
  • Monitor changes to the schedule and revise timelines as needed.
  • Prepare reports and share schedule updates with project managers and leadership.
  • Move project data in and out of spreadsheets and Smartsheets as required.
  • Support forecasting and ongoing progress tracking.
  • Coordinate information flow across multiple project stakeholders.
  • Flag schedule risks, delays, and possible effects on project completion.

Required Background

  • Prior experience in a Project Coordinator, Project Scheduler, Project Controls Coordinator, Project Administrator, or comparable role.
  • Hands-on expertise with Smartsheets.
  • Ability to create and manage Gantt charts.
  • Solid knowledge of project schedules, task dependencies, durations, and predecessor logic.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and related spreadsheet work.
  • Strong organization and communication abilities.
  • Comfort managing several priorities in a busy, fast-moving project setting.
  • Capability to work independently with limited supervision.

Preferred Experience

  • Background in data centers, construction, structured cabling, telecommunications, or technology projects.
  • Experience supporting large infrastructure programs.
  • Exposure to working with Project Managers and Program Managers.
  • Understanding of project controls, scheduling practices, and progress reporting.
