Job description

Overview

This position is for an experienced Project Coordinator, Project Engineer, or Assistant Project Manager to help drive project planning and delivery for a client working in infrastructure and renewable energy construction. The assignment supports major wind farm developments across Australia and is a full-time, permanent role. The base location can be Melbourne or Brisbane, and the work will include regular travel to project sites, initially averaging about two weeks each month. All travel-related expenses are covered.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the Project Manager to assist with planning, delivery, and reporting across the project lifecycle.
  • Arrange project readiness activities such as equipment, PPE, travel, and accommodation.
  • Help manage schedules, cost controls, budgets, invoicing, and forecasting tasks.
  • Keep project files, dashboards, reports, and records accurate and up to date.
  • Coordinate with clients, site crews, suppliers, QA, HSE, and internal teams to keep work moving smoothly.
  • Support project completion activities, including lessons learned and follow-up improvement actions.

Requirements

  • Proven background in project engineering, project coordination, site administration, and/or project management.
  • Experience in construction management, renewable energy, wind projects, or similar environments.
  • Comfort working with blue-collar and site-based teams.
  • Strong capability in documentation, reporting, planning, and stakeholder communication.
  • Ability to stay effective in a fast-moving and changing project setting.
