About the role
ALTOUR, part of Internova Travel Group, is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead business implementations in the travel management space. The organization has a global footprint across more than 80 countries and focuses on building stronger client connections through innovation, technology, and a collaborative workplace. In this position, you will act as the business lead for new implementations, own delivery outcomes, and help ensure smooth adoption of new solutions across the company.
What you'll do
- Own and coordinate new business implementations from verbal award through delivery, keeping stakeholders updated and aligned throughout the project.
- Manage several initiatives at once, ensuring each one stays within the approved scope and schedule.
- Partner with Sales, Solutions, and Operations to confirm scope against customer contracts, technical needs, and data insights so the right technologies are selected.
- Design scalable implementation structures and define team roles and responsibilities that support operational needs.
- Apply operational excellence concepts such as labor management systems, workforce optimization, and performance coaching/observation to help meet production, quality, and safety goals.
- Convert business needs into scalable designs and enforce change control across the project lifecycle.
- Deliver complex requirements using a mix of tools and technologies.
- Act as the primary business decision-maker, including building ramp-up plans, schedules, and mitigation strategies for identified risks.
- Provide daily guidance to cross-functional implementation teams and advise customers on deployment best practices within their environment.
- Review, approve, and test SOPs in collaboration with IT.
- Support a clean handoff to operations after go-live and ramp-up.
- Work directly with customer stakeholders, including senior operations leaders, warehouse teams, and end users.
- Coordinate with customer and operations leadership to make sure all required processes are followed during implementation.
- Partner with project managers to identify risks and emerging issues early.
- Create documentation that supports the move from implementation into post-implementation support.
- Monitor industry shifts and recommend improvements to the Engineering function when needed.
- Promote quality-driven management practices and use analysis to guide decisions and process improvements.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience.
- Background in direct customer-facing implementation delivery.
- Ability to learn new concepts and technologies quickly and turn them into workable client solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Capability to build relationships, motivate others, and work effectively with different teams.
- Judgment and experience to plan work and deliver goals independently.
- Experience leading employees, contractors, and suppliers.
- Customer-service mindset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
