Project Manager, Data Centre Build and Deploy

Role overview

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee high-profile data centre construction programmes across the EU, based in Ireland. This position involves managing projects from early-stage permitting and design through to delivery and final handover, with responsibility for projects of different sizes and complexity.

The role suits a proactive, self-driven leader who is comfortable working across technical workstreams, coordinating diverse teams, and partnering directly with senior directors in a hands-on environment.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of projects throughout the full lifecycle, from permitting and design through to completion and handover.
• Maintain control of schedule, budget, quality, and health and safety standards across all phases.
• Lead and align multi-disciplinary groups, including internal teams, external advisers, designers, main contractors, and specialist suppliers.
• Use strong technical understanding of data centre standards and requirements to reduce risk and protect delivery outcomes.
• Work independently in the day-to-day running of site and project activities, escalating issues only when needed to resolve complex challenges.
• Serve as the main client and stakeholder contact, ensuring briefs are delivered accurately and expectations are actively managed.

Requirements

• 5 to 10 years of overall construction project management experience.
• At least 6 years of direct experience delivering data centre projects or work in similarly critical sectors such as pharma, energy, infrastructure, or life sciences.
• Experience in a construction consultancy, client-side, or developer setting is strongly preferred; exceptional contractor-side experience will also be considered.
• A relevant third-level qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.

This is a contract position based onsite in Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland. The hiring team has multiple openings, including roles with local responsibility and others that involve travel across the EU.
