- Spot emerging project risks and raise them without delay.
- Join client programme meetings and planning workshops when required.
- Work with subcontractors to incorporate their schedules and progress into the overall project plan.
- Attend internal planning workshops and departmental learning sessions.
- Carry out site visits at least once every four weeks to validate progress and keep the programme accurate.
- Prepare regular status updates for Lead Planners and the Planning Manager.
- Participate in weekly planning department meetings.
- Support planning department initiatives and assist with the development and coaching of graduate planners.
- Maintain accurate records and organised file systems.
- Produce progress and performance reports such as S-curves, 4-week lookaheads, planned versus actual, spent versus earned, CPI, SPI, and any other reports needed.
- Follow all planning department procedures, standards, and best practices.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Primavera P6, along with a commitment to ongoing improvement.
- Experience using Microsoft Project, with willingness to build deeper capability.
- Exposure to data centre projects is considered an advantage.
- Solid grasp of project planning fundamentals, including critical path analysis and scheduling logic.
- Strong knowledge of the assigned projects, including scope, construction approach, and associated risks.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work well with internal teams and outside stakeholders.
- Well organised, detail-focused, and able to approach issues in a structured and methodical way.
- Capable of managing several tasks and projects at once in a busy environment.
