Job description
Role overview
An established electrical contracting business is seeking a Project Planner to support complex construction delivery from its headquarters in Slane, County Meath. The role focuses on major Data Centre assignments across Europe and involves coordinating schedules, tracking progress, and helping the project team keep milestones on course.
The company works across medium voltage and low voltage cable installation, termination services, busbar systems, and containment solutions for a variety of construction projects.
The compensation for this role is €4,000 net per month.
Key responsibilities
You will be responsible for building and maintaining detailed project timelines that reflect scope, key milestones, and the resources required to deliver them.
Day-to-day work includes monitoring planned versus actual progress, spotting schedule slippage early, and taking action to reduce delays and risks.
You will also spend time on site, working with site teams to collect up-to-date progress information and ensure planning outputs reflect real conditions.
The position requires running planning discussions with both internal and external stakeholders so that timelines remain aligned with on-site delivery.
Other duties include suggesting changes to task sequencing and resource allocation to improve productivity and help meet target dates, as well as incorporating scope changes and variations into schedules alongside commercial and delivery teams.
You will prepare and circulate accurate progress updates for site leadership and senior management, support corrective action planning when risks emerge, and contribute to short-term lookahead programmes that guide site activity.
Maintaining orderly planning records, documentation, and project data in line with company and project standards is also part of the role.
Requirements
A degree in Electrical Engineering, or in a closely related discipline, is preferred.
Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 is essential.
You should bring at least 3 years of experience in planning and scheduling on large-scale projects.
Prior exposure to Data Centre projects is required.
Applicants must either be EU citizens or have the ability to travel freely within the EU.
