About the Role
The Lead – QA/QC – Site is responsible for comprehensive quality assurance and control across all site construction activities, encompassing civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP), and finishing works. This position is crucial for ensuring the implementation of robust quality systems, conducting timely inspections, adhering to testing protocols, and maintaining meticulous documentation to achieve defect-free project delivery. The role demands strict compliance with client, regulatory, and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the execution of the site quality plan, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all construction trades.
- Ensure all work adheres to technical specifications, relevant codes, and client-specific requirements.
- Lead and manage the site QA/QC team, delegating tasks, reviewing inspection reports, validating test results, and providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Perform and supervise quality inspections at critical construction phases, including but not limited to excavation, reinforcement placement, concrete pouring, formwork, masonry, waterproofing, plastering, tiling, painting, and all structural steel and MEP installations.
- Coordinate and manage the inspection and testing of construction materials, including the verification of Manufacturer's Test Certificates (MTCs), conducting on-site tests (e.g., concrete cube tests, slump tests), and reviewing results from third-party testing agencies.
- Initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and document site observations, conduct thorough Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for identified issues, and implement effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
