Role overview
An international pharmaceutical business is looking for an experienced Project Scheduler to support a portfolio of technical development and operations-focused programmes in a biologics and manufacturing setting. The position is based in Shanbally, Cork, and is offered on a 12-month contract with a hybrid arrangement as a minimum.
What you will do
- Create, update, and improve detailed project schedules in Microsoft Project for several technical initiatives.
- Track timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables from project start to finish.
- Work closely with Project Leads and Managers on planning, monitoring, and schedule control.
- Carry out resource loading, demand forecasting, and workforce planning across multiple projects.
- Prepare schedule reporting such as actual versus planned reviews, S-curves, and schedule compliance updates.
- Handle schedule change requests, maintain risk register information, and assess impacts of changes.
- Support governance routines, stakeholder updates, and project status reporting meetings.
Experience and skills needed
- At least 5 years' experience scheduling technical or operational project portfolios.
- Advanced capability with Microsoft Project and strong familiarity with planning tools such as Planview.
- Solid knowledge of capacity planning, forecasting, and workload analysis.
- Background supporting operational work in pharmaceutical, biotech, manufacturing, or similar technical environments.
- Ability to manage complex schedules, interdependencies, and reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, including milestone tracking, S-curve reporting, and governance documentation.
- PMP certification is required.
- Planview experience is considered a strong advantage.
