Role summary
This position is for an experienced Proposal Specialist to support work-winning and business development efforts across the Middle East. The role focuses on producing strong technical and commercial submissions, coordinating multi-discipline bid teams, and ensuring every proposal meets client requirements and internal standards.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and prepare technical and commercial proposals, EOIs, RFQs, RFPs, and tender submissions.
- Examine tender documents to understand submission instructions, identify risks, and map key deliverables.
- Work closely with technical, commercial, and business development teams to collect the information needed for bids.
- Build proposal frameworks, timelines, compliance checklists, and submission plans.
- Develop polished bid documents, presentations, capability profiles, and related support materials.
- Track bid schedules and make sure all deliverables are completed and submitted on time.
- Keep proposal templates, project reference material, CV libraries, and other work-winning resources up to date.
- Assist with interview preparation, client-facing presentations, and activities after submission.
- Confirm that all outputs align with company branding, quality expectations, and client specifications.
- Help improve bid procedures, tools, and best-practice methods.
Qualifications and experience
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Architecture, Communications, or a similar field. The role calls for 8 to 10 years of experience in bid management, proposal coordination, or work-winning. Prior exposure to engineering consultancy, architecture, construction, or professional services is required. Candidates should have handled complex, multi-disciplinary proposals and tender submissions and understand procurement processes and the full bid lifecycle. Strong writing, editing, documentation, and multitasking skills are essential.
Technical skills
Advanced command of Microsoft Office, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, is necessary. Experience with Adobe InDesign and proposal production tools would be an advantage. Familiarity with CRM platforms, document management systems, and bid management software is also preferred, along with strong formatting, presentation, and quality-checking ability.
Preferred attributes
Background on major building, infrastructure, transportation, or data center projects is desirable. Prior work in multinational engineering consultancy environments is also preferred. The ideal candidate will have a meticulous approach, perform well under pressure, manage several active bids at once, and communicate effectively with different stakeholders.
