Job description

About the Role

Omnicom Health Medical Communications is looking for a Publications Coordinator to help drive the timely and organized delivery of publication work. In this role, you will support scientific communications projects from early planning through final submission, working closely with authors, internal stakeholders, and external partners. This position suits someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and interested in medical communications or scientific publishing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run and monitor draft review workflows by collecting feedback, tracking comments, and following up with authors and internal teams.
  • Keep publication trackers and databases up to date, including both internal systems and client-facing platforms.
  • Assist with submitting abstracts, presentations, and manuscripts while making sure deadlines and submission rules are met.
  • Set up and coordinate meetings with internal and external participants, including agendas, scheduling, and action-item follow-up.
  • Handle reference requests and assist with finding supporting literature.
  • Answer routine questions from colleagues, clients, authors, and publishers.
  • Provide broader administrative and publication-planning support to the team whenever needed.

What You’ll Need

  • Strong coordination skills with a sharp eye for detail.
  • Comfort managing several priorities and deadlines in a busy, fast-moving setting.
  • Clear written and spoken communication skills.
  • Background in project coordination, scientific publishing, or medical communications is helpful.
  • Exposure to manuscript or abstract submission systems is an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and database tools.

Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $50,000 and $65,000. Placement within that range will depend on factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, budget, market conditions, and—where applicable—current or prior tenure and standing in the role.
