Role overview
We are looking for a Purchasing Officer to support the end-to-end buying process, including vendor discussions and day-to-day purchasing coordination.
Key responsibilities
- Collect quotations from suppliers and manufacturers, then compare offers to help secure the most competitive pricing.
- Assist with combining and handling purchase orders so operational workflows remain smooth and efficient.
- Work closely with the sourcing team and shipping department to help ensure products arrive on time.
- Check incoming deliveries against issued purchase orders and follow up with vendors to fix any mismatches.
- Assess and shortlist vendors through a structured evaluation process that considers both pricing and product quality.
- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain better commercial terms and pricing.
- Monitor market developments and purchasing patterns through ongoing research to support informed buying decisions.
Required skills and qualities
- Comfort using Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Ability to work with urgency and manage several tasks at once.
- Strong coordination ability across teams, with good time management and prioritisation.
- Clear interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills for working with stakeholders and internal teams.
- Careful, detail-focused working style.
- Positive attitude, integrity, and a collaborative mindset.
- Availability that aligns with the needs of the role is preferred.
- Outgoing personality, lively presentation, and interest in fashion are advantageous.
