About the Role
Vertiv is seeking a Quality Control Technician for their facility in Letterkenny, County Donegal, Ireland. This role is essential for ensuring that products meet stringent quality standards throughout the manufacturing lifecycle. The technician will be responsible for monitoring and testing products across various stages of electrical assembly, contributing to the overall quality and consistency of production.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive quality inspections and tests on products during critical manufacturing phases, including electrical cable tray installation, electrical and signal cable installation, lighting and small power setup, and grounding and bonding procedures.
- Meticulously document all inspection outcomes and maintain accurate, detailed records of quality control activities.
- Proactively identify, document, and report any quality deviations or non-conformances observed during the manufacturing process.
- Perform incoming inspections to verify the quality of raw materials and components.
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of testing equipment through regular calibration and maintenance.
- Actively participate in and support initiatives aimed at continuous improvement of quality processes.
- Collaborate effectively with production teams to address and resolve quality-related issues promptly.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned to meet evolving business needs.
Requirements
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a quality control or similar role.
- Proficiency in English, with at least 90% verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to accurately interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Experience utilizing various measurement tools and testing equipment.
- Familiarity with established quality control methodologies and best practices.
- Basic computer literacy, including proficiency with email, collaboration platforms, Microsoft Excel, Word, and file management.
- A proactive and positive attitude, with the ability to work autonomously and manage tasks efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Experience with Switchgear, UPS, CRAC units, STS, or busbar systems is considered a significant advantage.
Physical & Environmental Demands
- The role requires frequent standing and movement within a manufacturing setting.
- Work will be conducted in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and equipment.
- Adherence to safety protocols is mandatory, including the use of required personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, eyewear, earplugs, and gloves.

- This position does not require any travel.
