Job description
Role overview
The Quantity Surveyor will handle measurement, costing, subcontract administration, and contract support work for engineering and construction activities. The role involves coordinating with multiple internal teams to keep pricing, claims, variations, and cost records accurate and up to date.
Key duties
- Prepare measurement records and supporting documentation for cost-plus, adjustable items, and claim-related submissions.
- Work with engineering, procurement, and subcontracting teams to support prompt contract price revisions.
- Carry out material take-offs and quantity calculations, then enter the information into cost and material management systems.
- Monitor design and site changes, and assess the value of completed work.
- Oversee subcontract-related activities across measurement, claims, and bills of quantities.
- Draft tender packs, bid checklists, bid submissions, and bid comparison summaries.
- Submit progress claims within required timelines and with accurate supporting details.
- Review subcontractor claims and invoices, checking both accuracy and submission timing.
- Prepare and manage variation orders as well as carry-over work records.
- Support cost control, cost analysis, and cost reporting tasks.
- Take on additional duties as needed.
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in any engineering discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in quantity surveying.
- Exposure to offshore platforms, modules, FPSOs, jackets, or onshore petrochemical plant work will be an advantage.
- A collaborative attitude with the ability to work on own initiative and with limited supervision.
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
Location and working hours
The job is based at Admiralty Yard, 60 Admiralty Road West, Singapore 759947. Transport is provided from Sembawang MRT.
Working hours are Monday to Thursday from 8:00am to 5:15pm, and Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm.
