Job Summary

As a remote Loan Servicing Specialist, you will manage the complete lifecycle of our Bridge Loan portfolio, from initial funding to final payoff. This role is crucial for enhancing the borrower experience while ensuring compliance and mitigating risk. You will be instrumental in driving process improvements and fostering collaboration within a fast-paced, remote-first environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee a high-volume loan portfolio, acting as the main point of contact for all borrower servicing communications from funding to payoff, ensuring top-tier customer service, confidentiality, and integrity.
  • Collaborate with title companies and borrowers to track ongoing closings, generate accurate payoff statements, and confirm full loan repayment.
  • Conduct weekly monitoring of loans nearing their due dates, escalating potential delinquency risks to management with supporting data and proposed solutions, and working with Listing Operations and Finance to resolve issues.
  • Follow up on all outstanding loan payments, meticulously tracking open items and escalating unresolved balances to management.
  • Adhere strictly to all company policies and state and national regulations, ensuring all servicing actions are thoroughly documented and prepared for audits.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors to manage the complete lien release, paid-in-full, and default processes, tracking each file and escalating any delays.
  • Identify and implement process enhancements to boost efficiency and support the integration of new systems, product updates, and automation.
  • Undertake and contribute to special projects, research initiatives, and data analysis, presenting findings and recommendations to leadership in structured reports.
  • Compile and prepare data for daily, weekly, and monthly portfolio reports, detailing delinquency rates, payoff volumes, and overall portfolio health for management review.
What You'll Bring
  • Prior experience in loan servicing within the mortgage or financial services industry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the real estate sector, such as experience as a Listing Agent, in Listing Coordination, Home Renovations, or REO, is advantageous.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication abilities, with the skill to handle sensitive borrower discussions regarding delinquency, default, and payoff disputes.
  • Proven ability to prioritize, organize, and manage a substantial workload effectively.
  • Strong analytical and independent decision-making capabilities.
  • Proficiency with loan servicing software and established processes.
  • A proactive attitude towards learning, taking on new challenges, and skill development.
  • Capacity to build and maintain strong working relationships with management, colleagues, and external business professionals.
  • Adaptability to rapid changes and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced setting.
  • Self-motivated and analytical, with a talent for conducting research, analyzing data, and solving complex problems.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to set up and operate a computer continuously.
  • Must be able to communicate and exchange accurate information with others via telephone or internet video applications.

The candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
