Job description

Role Overview

This position serves as the first welcoming touchpoint for guests and visitors at the property. The receptionist is expected to create a friendly, polished first impression, manage front desk activities smoothly, and help deliver a high-quality guest experience that matches the brand’s service expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive guests and visitors with a courteous, professional approach.
  • Manage arrival and departure procedures efficiently and with accuracy.
  • Respond to phone calls, emails, and guest questions in a professional manner.
  • Work closely with housekeeping, maintenance, and operations teams to support guest satisfaction.
  • Address guest requests, feedback, and complaints quickly, involving the right team members when needed.
  • Keep guest records and reservation information updated correctly in the PMS.
  • Handle payments, invoices, and cash or card transactions safely and accurately.
  • Maintain a tidy, organized, and presentable reception desk and lobby area at all times.
  • Follow company policies, standard operating procedures, and UAE hospitality rules and regulations.
  • Assist with administrative duties connected to front office operations.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • At least 1 to 2 years of experience working as a receptionist or front desk agent in hospitality, preferably in a hotel or serviced apartment setting.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Good command of English; knowledge of Arabic or another language will be an added advantage.
  • Experience with hotel PMS software will be considered a plus.
  • A well-groomed and professional appearance, with a strong guest-service orientation.
  • Ability to handle several tasks at once and remain effective under pressure.
  • Availability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Must already be based in the UAE or be willing and able to relocate.
