About the Role

The Cork International Hotel is looking for a Full-Time Receptionist to join their dynamic team. This position is ideal for individuals with prior experience in guest-facing roles who possess a strong desire to provide exceptional guest experiences. Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage guest arrivals and departures, ensuring accurate registration and check-out procedures are followed, always addressing guests by name.
  • Maintain meticulous records for guest registration and check-out, strictly adhering to the Trigon Hotel Group's standard operating procedures.
  • Handle all reservations efficiently, ensuring alignment with rate management strategies and sales guidelines.
  • Proactively identify and capitalize on in-house selling opportunities to maximize revenue.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all company sales procedures and current promotions.
  • Accurately process all pay-in vouchers from various hotel departments.
  • Record all cash transactions meticulously.
  • Ensure the utmost security for all hotel property and cash handled.
  • Safeguard guest valuables in safety deposit boxes and issue appropriate receipts.
  • Maintain constant awareness of hotel room availability.
  • Verify the accuracy of the cash float.
  • Wear the company-provided uniform at all times.
  • Uphold the highest standards of personal and professional cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Comply with the company's Code of Conduct.
  • Ensure all work areas are kept clean, safe, and orderly.
  • Oversee the security of company stock and property.
  • Adhere to all regulations concerning health and safety, hygiene, guest safety, fire safety, and emergency procedures.
  • Comply with all hotel policies and standards, including mandates and food standards.
  • Fulfill any reasonable requests from management and hotel guests to the best of your ability.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all computer operations, including posting to accounts, daily business controls, and analysis of daily reports.
  • Perform the duties of a Reservations Coordinator when required.
  • Comply with any reasonable directives from the Front Office Manager or hotel management.
  • Be available for scheduled training sessions and communication meetings.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Possess prior experience in a guest-facing role, ideally within the hotel industry.
  • Exhibit strong communication and IT proficiency.
  • Demonstrate a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
