Role overview

The Recreation Receptionist at Miraval The Red Sea is the first point of contact for the Serenity Center and Body Mindfulness Center. The position is centered on creating a welcoming experience for guests while supporting their wellness journey with attentive service, calm communication, and organized coordination.

This role brings together guest reception, scheduling, transaction handling, coordination with instructors and operations teams, and support for wellness and recreational programming. It also contributes to smooth day-to-day operations, revenue growth, safety compliance, and a respectful multicultural atmosphere that reflects Miraval’s approach to mindfulness, balance, and transformation.

Guest reception and support

  • Welcome guests in a calm, attentive manner and share clear information about wellness, fitness, and recreation options.
  • Manage reservations for classes, workshops, private sessions, and related offerings with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Handle guest arrival and departure processes smoothly, responding to questions with professionalism and care.
  • Help guests choose experiences that fit their goals, whether they are seeking relaxation, fitness, or emotional renewal.

Operational support and flexibility

  • Keep reception areas clean, orderly, and inviting at both centers.
  • Coordinate with reservations and wellness operations teams to support balanced schedules and guest movement.
  • Assist with setup, room preparation, and guest logistics alongside instructors and wellness practitioners.
  • Remain adaptable during busy periods, special events, and changing operational needs.

Guest experience enhancement

  • Build personalized guest relationships through warmth, mindfulness, and careful attention to detail.
  • Maintain a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere that encourages guests to connect, reflect, and explore.
  • Gather guest feedback and pass it to the relevant teams for service improvement.
  • Guide guests toward experiences that align with their personal wellness intentions.

Safety, cultural awareness, and environment

  • Follow all health, safety, and emergency procedures in daily operations.
  • Show cultural sensitivity and help maintain an inclusive, respectful, and multicultural setting.
  • Support a calm, orderly environment consistent with the resort’s wellness philosophy.

Cash handling, reporting, and inventory support

  • Process guest payments accurately through cash, card, and POS systems.
  • Prepare end-of-day reports, handovers, and daily financial summaries according to resort procedures.
  • Support inventory checks and stock control for wellness and retail items at the reception area.
  • Track retail sales, update systems, and communicate replenishment needs when required.

Sales and revenue contribution

  • Promote spa, wellness, and workshop services in line with guest interests.
  • Recommend retail products connected to treatments or classes in a thoughtful and personalized way.
  • Support revenue and service-quality goals through helpful suggestions and informed selling.
  • Contribute to guest satisfaction and positive reviews through consistently strong service.

Team collaboration

  • Work closely with scheduling, spa, and wellness teams to keep daily operations running smoothly.
  • Share guest updates and schedule changes across departments quickly and clearly.
  • Help create a team culture built on trust, mindfulness, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

The role calls for at least 1 year of experience in reception, guest service, or a front-of-house position within a wellness, spa, or luxury hospitality environment. Experience with POS systems, cash and card handling, and basic reporting is needed. Familiarity with fitness, wellness, or recreational programming is also important. English fluency is required, and Arabic is considered an advantage. Previous upselling experience in a guest-focused setting is preferred.
